DC Legends of Tomorrow Season 3 Finale

DC Legends of Tomorrow Season 3 Finale

On this episode of Comic Movie-10, the Kane brothers will discuss the season three finale of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, titled “The Good, The Bad, and The Cuddly”. The boys explain how the beginning of the finale was extremely emotional as Rip Hunter’s character sacrifices himself for the others, so they would be able to escape to salvation. Upon doing this however, they run into many of the villains they have fought throughout the season, which obviously causes conflicts for them. It is not until Sara’s character cracks a joke that the tone of the finale causes viewers to feel the more comical mood expected from Legends of Tomorrow.

The topic of Damien Darhk is also discussed. Joe and Dan explain how his path over the last few episodes has allowed viewers to see Darhk in a different light, and many of the people watching from home actually feel empathy toward his character. They discuss how his character’s choices in the finale will potentially impact the series moving forward into the fourth season.

Another character that is a major focal point of the finale is Beebo, and the brothers tackle their emotions regarding the choice to bring this character into the show, especially considering Beebo is not an original character from the comics. Lastly, Joe and Dan share their opinions on Constantine officially joining the cast as a regular character and how he has been able to stay true to himself, even in the silly world of Legends.

Let the brothers know your own thoughts on the season finale. After watching, decide if you agree or disagree with the information they have shared. Leave your comments, questions, and opinions below, and be sure to tune in next time to see the latest episode of Comic Movie-10!

Who will die in Marvel Avengers Infinity War?

Who Will Die In Marvel Avengers: Infinity War

On this episode of Comic Movie-10, the Kane brothers make enormous speculations about who will die in Marvel’s Avengers Infinity War. To start, the boys examined IMDB to determine which characters made it to the official site for the untitled fourth Avengers movie. After comparing the lists between the third and fourth movies, they were able to say who would certainly survive the third film. They were also able to rule out the deaths of any characters that have their own upcoming movies, including Spider-Man, and Antman.

The brothers then discuss some characters that did not make the 4th movie on IMDB so far, but how they are unlikely to die based on their popularity and the plots of the movies. This includes Zoey Saldana, Chris Pratt, and Bradley Cooper’s characters. The brothers also agree it is unlikely Don Cheadle’s character will be eliminated. Tune in to find out why they feel this way, as well as what they believe the fate might be for characters like Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk, Paul Bettany’s Vision, Pom Klementieff’s Mantis, and Anthony Mackie’s Sam.

Both Kane brothers agree that any deaths that occur during this movie must be impactful to the story line and tug on viewers’ heartstrings. Also, check out why Joe and Dan feel Thanos could be at the very center of many of these possible deaths. After watching, let them know your fan theories too. Who do you think will survive the third installment, and who will not be as lucky? deadpool 2 trailer review

Deadpool 2 Trailer Review & Spoilers

On tonight’s episode of Comic Movie-10, the Kane brothers will be discussing the most recent trailer for the highly anticipated Deadpool 2, staring Ryan Reynolds. Reynolds is known both on screen and off for his sense of humor, and ability to poke fun at everyone, including himself.  The original Deadpool was another example of Reynolds’ off collar humor, and the latest trailer for the sequel proves Deadpool 2 will be no different.

Joe and Dan explain all the ways that both Deadpool films have broken and continue to break barriers. They examine how this Marvel film is the first to be simultaneously R-rated and comical, as well as how Deadpool 2 marks the first time in history that a Marvel film has acknowledged the DC universe. Reynolds’ character also makes many nods to individuals in the film industry, including his own character from X-Men.

This episode of Comic Movie-10 also examines the characters introduced on the trailer, including Terry Crews as Bedlam, the return of Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and Julian Dennison’s character, a child named Russell, who raises a lot of questions about the plot of the story. The Kane boys also question what the upcoming X-force movie might mean in terms of possible cameos for Deadpool 2. Lastly, Dan mentions an interesting portion of the trailer that leaves viewers with a cliffhanger.

Let the Kane brothers know what you think of the Deadpool 2 trailer, and their opinions on the direction of this movie! Leave your questions, comments, and opinions below, and be sure to tune in to the next episode of Comic Movie-10.

Why Was Wonder Woman A Hit

Why Was The Wonder Woman Movie A Hit?

This episode of Comic Movie-10 addresses the latest interpretation of Wonder Woman. In 2017, the movie Wonder Woman was released, and although fans of the DC Universe had seen Gal Gadot’s cameo in Batman vs. Superman, the world was really unsure what this new movie would be about.

Much to DC fans’ pleasure, Dot proved herself to be an incredible leading lady. What is even more impressive is that the movie is full of female power, as a female directs it, and the story line circulates entirely around a female in the leading role as a superhero. The Kane brothers agree that the writing and delivery of the story are incredible, and the information presented is historically accurate and interesting. The movie displays high action and intense, real emotion. Joe and Dan explain how this film has really surpassed many of the other DC movies and they speculate on why that might be. They also address how much money the film brought in, and compare that to other DC movies.

Have you watched Wonder Woman yet? Let the Kanes know, and leave your comments, questions, and opinions below. Be sure to tune in next time to the next episode of Comic Movie-10!

Gotham TV Show Characters

How Do The Gotham TV Characters Compare To The Comics?

This episode of Comic Movie-10 is all about the hit show, Gotham. More specifically however, the Kane brothers will be exploring the differences and similarities between the characters in the show, and their characters’ origins in the comics.

The brothers discuss how both Ben McKenzie as Commissioner Gordon and Sean Pertwee as Alfred, take on an entirely new role when compared to their comic book counterparts. Both characters have been traditionally thought of as goody two shoes, however their characters in Gotham are much more dark and mysterious. Joe and Dan discuss their opinions on this and whether this change works or not.

Additionally, they explore the character Bruce Wayne, and how his attitude as a “billionaire brat” is unlike any version of Bruce Wayne the world has ever known. In fact, much of Bruce Wayne’s early life is a mystery to Batman fans, other than the comics showing that he watched his parents being murdered. Gotham explores what happened to Bruce during his years of adolescence and how he was not necessarily always calm, cool, and collected. David Mazouz plays Bruce Wayne in the series and is doing an extraordinary job, but managing to portray an irritating version of the beloved Bruce Wayne at the same time.

Finally, the Kane brothers examine the villains on the show, with the three most prominent being, Edward Nygma, or Riddler, played by Cory Michael Smith, The Penguin, played by Robin Lord Taylor, and Selina Kyle, or Catwoman, played by Camren Bicondova. This episode explains how the villains of the show are much more similar to their comic book counterparts than the good guys, and whether this is a good or bad factor.

After watching, leave your comments, opinions, and questions. Do you think Gotham has done a good job portraying these famous characters? What changes do you notice? Do you like the differences, or do you believe the writers should have stayed true to the way the comics portrayed them? Let Joe and Dan know what you think, and make sure to tune in to the next episode of Comic Movie-10.

Why Is Willa Holland Leaving Arrow?

Why Is Willa Holland Leaving Arrow?

During this episode of Comic Movie-10, the Kane brothers address the recent news that Willa Holland has made the decision to leave Arrow.  For the last five and a half seasons, Willa Holland has lent her acting skills to play Thea Queen (also known as Speedy). Thea is Oliver Queen’s little sister. As fans learned about Speedy’s background, they learned she struggled with some very serious addiction issues. Her substance abuse issues allowed viewers to see Oliver play a nurturing role as he helped his sister during her recovery.

However, it should be noted that Thea has not always been the damsel in distress, as she can clearly hold her own as evident through the series. Joe and Dan discuss the ways Thea and Oliver’s relationship has impacted the show, and how Thea’s substance abuse issues relate to the original comics which first tackled this controversial topic.

Holland’s character has shown great growth throughout the series and this episode highlights all of the ways Thea’s character has overcome person problems in addition to those already mentioned. Her character also introduces a love story to the show as viewers watch her relationship with Roy Harper.

So why is such a beloved character leaving the show? Well the Kane brothers address this topic and make implications as to what her exit might mean for the continuation of the series. Noting that Holland’s character has not been killed off, the brothers make speculations about the possible return of Speedy. Joe and Dan also discuss how her costar, Stephen Amell, has reacted to the news of her departure.

Listen in to find out about this information and more. Let Joe and Dan know your questions, concerns, comments and opinions. As always, tune in to the next episode of Comic Movie-10 to learn more insight about all things comic related!

James Gunn Thinks There Are Two Groots

James Gunn Thinks There Are Two Groots

This week’s episode of Comic Movie-10 is especially exciting, as the Kane brothers interview none other than actor Dylan Libby, who is currently touring the country as Groot in Marvel Universe Live: Age of Hero. Joe, Dan, and Libby dive into all things Groot to discuss the origins of and theories surrounding the fan-favorite character.

Although Groot is well known as only being able to say “I am Groot”, Libby explains how intelligent he really is, and addresses how the comics show Groot as reliable and always there to support his allies. One major ally includes Rocket, who he is most commonly seen alongside in comics. Although he was originally portrayed as a villain, he has very clearly become one of comic world’s favorite good guys. With the recent version of a live action Groot seen in James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy I and II, fans are dying to see what route is in store in the upcoming film, Infinity War.

The Kane brothers, along with Libby discuss the ways the character has taken on new forms throughout the latest films, including a baby version of Groot. Was this all a ploy to sell more children’s toys, as baby Groot is just so hard to resist, or was it a smart move for the direction of the films? The boys weigh in on this issue, and even consider portions of the Rocket and Groot comics that might lend themselves to Gunn’s version of the character. After watching, please leave comments, questions, and opinions. Do you agree with the Kane brothers, or have new and interesting ideas? Let them know in the comments, and be sure to tune in next time to the latest episode of Comic Movie-10!
